I mention elsewhere that I went to IKEA to pick up a replacement cheap plastic $1.99 wall clock but the store was sold out and thge cheaperst was #12.99.
So, anyway, I picked up a couple of large hand oven mitts at $2.99 each
I also picked up a set of three pairs of scissors in small, medium and large size.
And a 99c pizza cutter.
At the register it comes to about $10.90. I'm going though my pouches to get my credit card, when the woman in line behind me says, "That's faster," and uses her own credit card to pay for my order.
I'm utterly stunned. All I reaslly can do is say thank you. This is not the first time someone paid my bill or gave me money. And it touches me how people are just so nce to a cripple.
As I'm rolling to the bus stop someone else gives me a bottle of cold water. |
