The best thing I learned out of all of this is that some acts, like Taylor Swift and the Foo Fighters, will make photographers sign contracts stating that all their shots go to them. What fucking assholes. Can you imagine if guitar manufacturers tried claiming that the copyright of everything Dave Grohl made on their instruments belonged to them?
