Having tried "The Curious Expedition" I now GET this game. by Mischief Maker 06/30/2019, 7:29am PDT Okay, now I see where they were going with this game. Despite the art style, Deep Sky Derelicts is not Darkest Dungeon in space, it's The Curious Expedition in space; albeit with simplified overworld mechanics and expanded combat mechanics. My impressions have gone from reluctantly negative to moderately positive. The Curious Expedition is fun, but it leaves me with lower back pain because everything in that game is so damn tiny I have to lean way forward in my seat to read any of it. Deep Sky Derelicts does not share this flaw.
