Speaking of RTS, the fact that they knew about Dominions but left out AI War (2) is a huge miss.
And I can't even give them credit for Dominions because they listed Dominions 4? 5 came out in 2017! And each of these games is just an iteration on the previous ones, so there is no massive mechanics change like the jump from Civilization 4-5.
To answer your question, Planetfall is the best of the Age of Wonders games, without question. 3 remains pretty but the mechanics between all the races and classes are so dull and basic (with the exception of the necromancer) compared to the craziness that Planetfall gets up to. |
