I remember those Utwig Juggers to be horribly cheesy, shields that totally absorbed damage and added it to your energy total along with a a wide-spread, fairly rapid firing weapon that consumed no energy and could be fired with shields up, holy shit. I remember taking down litterly dozens of Kohr-Ar's and Ur-Quans with just one Jugger, and those tractor beam guys with the 3 sattelites rotating around them had ZERO chance of defeating even the most imcompetant Jugger pilot. The gayest part of all was those things only cost about 15-18 points each in super melee, while the dreadnaughts they ate for breakfast were 30. Banning the Jugger from melee games was the first and only rule we made.

To my recolection the ONLY ship that could maul the Jugger was the Chenjesu one that spat out those fuel sucking discs.

Yah, I hated them too. Simple solution: Just keep firing near misses at the Utwigs. You opponent will use up all his fuel trying to block them, but when the shots don't hit he won't get the damage converted back to fuel. Once he's out (his fuel didn't regenerate at all if I remember correctly), he's easy meat as long as you stay out of range of his guns. Which isn't to hard to do considering how slow they were.

Our house rule was that you couldn't pick more than one ship of any type. Mostly so that no one would pick 15 Arilou(?? - those teleporting guys.)

Chenjesu was one of my all time favorites. Everyone underestimated them, but they were by far the most versatile. A direct hit with the crystal did mass damage, or you could rapid fire the crystals to get the nice shrapnel all around as a point defense. And the fuel sucking things were great against all the slow bastards (fucking Druuge), or just as a distraction so you could line up a nice shot.
