| The company isn't doing super well. There's a variety of factors, and of course Covid is one of them. I can't say I'm surprised, I've been a teensy bit worried for some time.
a) the product we've been working on for 3 years is barely functional -- I'm being generous here. b) a ton of the best people have left (from the tech side anyway, who are making said product) c) venture capital is gone -- and this was before Covid hit d) Covid caused the revenue-generating side of things to slow way down e) other issues with the that particular industry that I can't really go into I got a couple months severance. Hopefully things will work out ok. I hope my coworkers are going to be alright! |
