I appreciate the actual reply. I gave up on Escape from NY because it was slow and boring. But I'm going to really watch both movies in the near future.
The Matrix sequel hate is truly bizarre. I get that Revolutions was a bit of a letdown, but partway in I realized I as watching a Star Wars movie and started to enjoy it again. Reloaded had a couple scenes that were screwy but overall it was really great. And again, by that time I was over the stupid "your mind makes it real" horseshit so I was able to enjoy it. The literally retarded concepts in the Matrix made me dislike it initially but it really grew on me in rewatching. Obviously some ground-breaking visuals and a pretty ok story other than the terrible bits. |
