| I, too, love endearingly awful entertainment.
The greatest shitty-Godzilla-ripoff movie I think I've seen is "Gappa". It fails so fucking miserably on every imaginable level, I was suffering from "Story Of Ricky"-like convulsions of laughter for pretty much the entire film. The quality of the special effects makes "King Kong Versus Godzilla" look like "Dark City". I still can't tell if it's supposed to be a satire, an attempt at cashing in on the monster-movie craze, or just pure undiluted ineptitude. It doesn't matter, really. It's fucking terrible, and as such I love it. |
