| A little clarification, 1.79 beta was released, then 10 hours later 1.8 beta, then 2 hours later 1.8 general release. So the posted changelogs cover 12 hours actually. Note that the changelogs are NOT posted when the update comes out and are sometimes more than a day afterward. But regardless, this is two updates in about 24 hours and then generally released.
I was just about to start a 1.79 game since it came out last night and give it a try. It's been radically rebalanced it sounds like with a ton of new stuff and much smarter AI. I haven't read the 1.8 changelog, it looks like just copy-paste from the 1.79 changelog. I literally have no idea what was added from glancing at it. Maybe 1.8 *IS* 1.79 and this is only one update with no testing instead of two. Who the fuck knows! |
