Cain and Boyarsky popped out the infant franchise in its bug ridden isometric form, but their takes at this point are either a sign off on all the dumb shit that happened under Bethesda's tenure if they liked it or a cause for more fan gripes if negative, so that was sort of shrug inducing. It was more interesting what Todd and the rest thought of it that interested me - not those who've shaped it creatively in previous eras but those who manage the IP now. You can kinda see this in what they choose to put emphasis on, how they choose what to highlight to maintain audience engagement, all that 'the product they make is your window on them' stuff. And all I really learned about the show is that themes of the reemergence of civilization seeking a new unity are not seen as marketable compared to meddling corporate freaks trying to prevent factionalism challenging them, the enclave is a nothing presence because direct criticism of the government implied to be related to ours might take balls to show to an audience like ours, buffoonish antics that rob the endless action including intense vats-style
