Been meaning to try this forever, finally had a chance to start.
The first NPC's voice acting might be the worst audio introduction to any game in history. In television, trying to endure Thomas Middleditch playing the exact same character with the exact annoying and aggravating mannerisms has caused me to stop watching shows I otherwise thought were fine. This game though. You wake up on a crash site and just instantly get yammered away at in the most awful fucking annoying way possible with the first character. What a horrible choice to start with "Virgil" in this way. It may have even been ok if he was unvoiced, but wow. Just an miserable start.
This walkthrough says, "If you're planning to maintain a magical or neutral aptitude, then Virgil is a worthwhile companion." I don't know what "neutral aptitude" is, but no, I will not be playing this game with an "aptitude" of neutral.
