| Solaris! By the same guy who made Star Raiders!
Running on a 4-way joystick with one button and not only does it recreate the feel of Star Raiders dogfighting, they managed to add planet-skimming gameplay. And one thing I learned from the documentary portion was that 2600 games must run at 60fps, so Solaris lacks the massive slowdowns of Star Raiders on the 800 when too many debris particles were onscreen. So while the Star Raiders port itself is bugged, this game is a nice consolation prize! |
