Bleh! Tediously generic, despite the novel setting. by MM 09/27/2024, 10:57pm PDT It's just Slay the Spire with the aesthetics of The Expanse and a kinda annoying system that sorta evokes FTL where raw power is converted every turn into 3 colored resources that activate cards, and you can readjust the resource generation amounts every round. I'm not one of those people who dismisses deckbuilders offhand. Trials of Fire is a very different game from Pyrene is a different game from Gordion Quest. But Breachway doesn't really do anything to separate itself from the herd except aesthetics. The dream of someone finally doing a version of FTL with top-notch graphics remains unfulfilled.
