TL;DR: that guy is literally just buying a logo. He won't be able to manufacture new Comodore 64s or Amigas or anything like that.
Or at least, that's what it seems like. Maybe some uber-nerd here can correct me.
P.S. I remember my dad showed me a Commodore 64 once that my grandparents had for some reason. I never really used it much since I already was playing games on DOS and it seemed like a step backwards. I kind of wish I had saved the thing, though. It would have been a collectors' item now!
P.P.S. Even if you could manufacture new C64s, would you really want to? There were quite a few of them made back in the 80s anyway. Is there really a big untapped market for newly manufactured C64s? |
