I don't see how you could like Barbie and not like Oppenheimer. by blackwater Yesterday, 10:40pm PDT Maybe it's because I don't have any fond memories of barbie dolls, but the movie just bored me. I didn't really care for the musical numbers and the "patriarchy" story line seemed bizarre. Ken was always just a minor barbie accessory with no personality. A ham sandwich would have been a more interesting villain. In contrast, Oppenheimer was a character study of a flawed but brilliant individual during a very interesting time in history. I thought the "investigation" plot device was a good way to tell the story without heavy-handed narration.
