| Rockstar had layoffs in 2024, and their parent company's finances weren't too great recently.
Game dev work has been headed to Eastern Europe for years. imagine being the guy who says "you know what? game devs in the UK and US need to be even MORE expensive!" Surely there is a bright future ahead for us! Especially now that AI can do so much. Anyway, if you hate them now, you can hate them even more because the UK's government is giving them double-digit MILLIONS of dollars in tax relief every year for their "culturally British" games about beating up hookers |
