Let's start here: if you think big companies like Rockstar are NOT going to be doing as much with AI as they can in the next few years, you're totally clueless. It doesn't matter whether I am "looking forward to AI-generated games" or not because you, me, and everyone else is going to get them.
I mentioned that the UK government was giving them millions of dollars in tax relief because I think it's funny. I don't approve of it (it sounds like corporate welfare to me).
As to "making GTA6 in Transylvania" they absolutely could. Or they could just do more with their India office, which already has hundreds of people.
The UK employees are not in a good negotiating position here. I wish them well, but frankly trying to unionize software jobs in 2025 is a very backward-looking thing to do. |
