I had a suspicion that the Eagles would beat up on them in the Super Bowl, but this year I'm mystified by the absolute scorn that the Broncos are getting for being the number 1 seed. So what's the difference?
I suggest, trajectory. The comments about "this is the BEST version of the Chiefs!" sounded so much like copium. The Broncos had zero expectations going into this season -- well we made the playoffs last year so I guess we were hoping for a return at least. The Chiefs were trying to threepeat. And I have to hand it to them, they were winning games right up until the moment the tank hit E. Maybe they were running on mystique? Like, some teams found ways to lose because they expected to get beat. I dunno.
I still maintain that you are your record, and they were 15-2 last year. Whatever issues they had, they were overcoming them. But I have to admit, maybe I just fucking hate em and I'm a hypocrite. lol |
