The writers at Time Extension decided they don't like "AI Slop" and they say it a lot. They have other questionable morals, but ok.
One person in the comments:
You probably should come up with a term other than slop. Constantly braying and bleating the same phrase drives fatigue.
This guy is right. I don't like generative ai either but the constant sameness to the whining has gotten old.
Their reply?
Slop is the perfect term. It's such a short word that reflects perfectly the amount of effort put into the generation of said slop. Ending with a hard plosive is extra satisfying too!
I agree, slop fits this perfectly. And the reason people "bray and bleat" over GenAI as it's theft that is putting people out of the job. A real designer should have overseen this project, for example, but instead someone will have just fed images into a computer to spit out subpar results.
The moment people stop being frustrated at this is the moment it becomes acceptable.
I had to laugh. Using a shortcut that is tired and creatively bankrupt is something they are against. Sometimes. |
