Okay, the one thing they do now is take it as fait accompli that Strange New Worlds is bad. None of them will watch it and they are famous for watching the worst media in the history of earth. Literally as I am writing this, Dave Foley is showing up in SNW (spoilers) and I think we all agree that he is great.. But they (SNW) are trying things within the medium of television and science fiction television not seen since Community. And it is all within the framework of Star Trek. It's great. It's probably the best Trek since TOS.
I sort of get that ST screwed them over one too many times, and even the last season of Picard that SEEMED like it was going to be good sucked ass at the end, so I get it. But man. |
