We finally finished The Boys last night. I am both happy to have watched it, and also happy it's over. That was quite enough, I think.
I will remember it fondly only because it was the most vile, intentionally gross, vulgar and offensive show I've ever seen. I like that. Good job, guys.
Also Bones and Homelander were very good. Everyone else was more or less forgettable or annoying, but at least the two main characters were great.
I would not give them any points for subtlety with regard to the social commentary, but of course the people that most needed to watch it are the ones who never would. (Or would, but would be too stupid to understand it, or they'd be rooting for the wrong characters.)
