I don't hate Ingus, but my preferred party is: TNO, Morte, Dak'kon, Grace, Vhailor, Nordom.

3. Do Annah's thieving skills ever become useful? Any tips for making her viable in combat?

They're useful, briefly, when you're in the Barking Dogs' hideout. That's assuming you want to avoid a collossal battle. (This is one beef I definitely have with this game - thieves are basically worthless.) As far as tips go, uh, she's much like any D&D thief, really - IIRC you put her in sneak mode, have her approach a human(oid) creature from behind, then she has a chance to do backstabbing damage, which will add up nicely if she's of high level and has good weapons. Then she'll be unable to backstab again, so she's back to being fairly worthless.

4. Is there anything useful in Pharod's vault? I just found a bunch of books that I couldn't take. Did I miss some small group of important pixels in there?

Yes, you should be able to find some spell scrolls, a lot of charms, healing items, etc. But no quest items of "must have" importance.
