Have you read a computer gaming review that you find particularly offensive?
Not whorish, but I really wish I had PC Gamer's review of Beyond Good & Evil still lying around. It was so flat out wrong that I'm wondering if they just based the whole thing off of the box descriptions. The reviewer insisted that the main plot of the game was that you played a photographer for a planetary biology department and that the majority of the gameplay was taking pictures of animals. Then some mini-games about aliens or something would pop up every once in awhile. Oh yes and that the combat sucks because it doesn't have combos. There were a ton of other whoppers in there but those are all I can remember.
Also: PC Gamer's taste in RTS games. Tired tripe like Warcraft 3 (gripping epic plot!), Homeworld 2, and rehashed "Age of" games consistently score in the 90% range while C&C: Generals wallows at 72% (the expansion got a 67%). |
