Not that I can't wait until 2007 for a search feature mind you, there isn't all that much archived here that you can't just hunt down (yet).


We're talking about searching a proprietary databse, not a website. There is no preexisting code for searching the caltrops DB. Coding this is actually towards the top of things I'd like to get done, but, as I said in the dev thread, I have little time to do anything lately.

As for insisting on doing everything from scratch, I'm doing it because I want the most flexibilty possible. We could have used the scoop engine that powers kuro5hin, but then we'd have a fully featured site that looks and acts like...kuro5hin.
