Co-op is still there, it just seems to have changed a bit. It now involves a friend watching you play from the couch on the other side of the room shouting instructions and warnings to you. Best of all, the player limit seems to be determined by how many people can crowd around your monitor, and not the rather pedestrian and draconian four-player limit of the original X-box version.
