Hmmm... by Lizard_King 05/19/2003, 5:01pm PDT The contradictions in your opinions are...interesting. Do you think the Painstation is a step in the right direction? To be honest I haven't given the MMORPG world much thought since I messed around with MUDD's back in the day (I think one was called Avalon or something). At least the learning curve did some filtering then, although it also had the unfortunate side effect of encouraging complete nerd domination right off the bat, rather than the more gradual dominance achieved in current iterations of the genre. I am interested to see an expansion of what you have thus far, although I will say that right off the bat any game that demands continually scaled payments is probably something I will avoid from day one due to my personal prejudices against impoverishing myself further. I still don't see a solution for the fact that 95% of the players in an online game will inevitably be boring, whether or not they are well behaved.
