I was doing great at Advance Wars, scoring As and minimizing casualties every mission. Then we hit the spots where you build troops during the battle. Fucking Shit! I'm no good at these games where weakening the enemy little by little draws you closer to victory. They always turn into WWI style deadlocks until either I amass a huge fleet of (Ultimate land unit) and roll over the other side or I get so drawn up into the tactics of a particular spot that I forget to build shit and the AI overwhelms me. I suck in real time and apparently I suck in turn-based at this shit, too.
Is there some basic overriding strategy to these games that I'm missing? Can someone throw me a bone here and give me some pointers? Take pity on my lack of 133+ness |
