It took me half an hour to get all of the buildings (x10 fortification once) and I only had around 5 archers, wizard, and builders. I made a recent oath in refusing to go along with treadmill games; if a game is nothing but doing menial tasks to build up money/experience, then cheat codes it is. No way could I ever scrounge up the patience to get that many units. I gave up shortly after the big stick dudes started showing up, more out of boredom than thinking they were hard. It still seems that even once you get all those goodies, it'd still be just dragging guys into the sky and casting the explosion spell, so I still dont get it. Another newsgrounds game with lots of stick figures and blood. If the author had given you all the stuff to play around with at the very beggining instead of thinking that people would want to invest over an hour on a flash game before they reached "the meat", then my verdict would have been "a slightly amusing distraction for about 20 minutes".

How on earth do you afford the upkeep? Isnt it like 200 per wizard and archer? And what's your opinion on Rise of Nations.

RoN is the first RTS game I've played where the old adage of "whoever can click faster wins" is actually true. Later on in the game when you have tons of resources coming in you seriously spend the majority of your time clicking the "make unit" button. Once you research a technology that makes units get created instantly, it literally becomes who can mash that button the fastest.
