Pre-game manual perusing. "Jan is rumored to be the only perosn Kyle cares more about than himself.". CAN YOU SPOT THE COLD-BLOODED MURDER VICTIM? SHE WAS TWO WEEKS AWAY FROM RETIREMENT!
Ok, I was expecting the pre-force levels to be boring, but I thought everyone here ment they were boring just compared to being a Jedi badass. Holy FUCK though they are the most derivative 1st person SHIT I've played in awhile. When the you've flipped 5 switches with unknown effects, smashed 2 crates and 4 vents to gain access to miles of airduct within the first five minutes of your game, something is wrong.
So I skipped ahead thanks to unwieldly console commands. Are the days of just typing in cheats gone? Or do you have to go through "enable developer mode" DOS commands to prove your l33tness and pass the developer's trial? 3rd level: switches, locked doors, NEXT! 4th level: jumping on a maze of pipes to gain access to a higher ledge, NEXT! 5th level, knock out a vent to crawl around a dark airvent/mineshaft while tiny alien spider things bite you, NEXT! 6th level, ATST and dozens of stormtroopers on sniper ledges killing either me or some hostage fucks instantly, NEXT! 7th level: all right, force powers! What's this gay pushing blocks crap and jumping puzzles though? NEXT! 8th level: Bar fight, sweet! Unlimited supply of thermal detonaters being thrown with suicidal glee? Snipers at every window that kill me a mile away with unblockable shots (why doesnt every anti-jedi squad use these? or just fucking bullets, let's see a saber reflect that)? Extending a bridge with a switch? NEXT! 9th level: garbage dump, AKA the sewer of the Star Wars universe.
How the fuck are you supposed to beat the pre-lightsaber levels without cheating? I tried on normal and just got nailed the 9th time an entire squad of stormtroopers instantly teleported in right behind me and starting dancing around dodging my shots like the top bots in Unreal Tournament (and since when do Storm troopers scream in agony every time you shoot them?). I just put it away at that point. So I'll just throw the question out to everyone: what level do I need to skip to before this game starts being fun? And what's this ladder thing everyone's talking about? |
