It's also maybe more than convenient that it happened to coincide with the G-8 summit meetings, which Blair subsequently canceled. The terrorists, in this instance at least, won.


What news source are you reading? The summit's still on as far as I know. And Blair thought the link between the bombings and the summit was clear enough to mention it in his address immediately after the attacks.
