The door shut because the church is HAUNTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by athodyd 10/31/2005, 11:20pm PST Note to the right: a ghost formed by the unearthly collision of two paranormal forces: the dead grunt model rigor mortis bug and a unique transparency bug possibly related to how the grunt died in the healing light of the church window, which was coincidentally the only HDR effect that I saw that was either new (HDR is implemented on one of the DOD:S maps, possibly donner) (it's pretty lame there too) or interesting. At this point in the paranormal research proceedings I decided that the joyless James Randis of the world would soon sweep down upon me and point out that it's basically impossible to see anything except two glowy eye things and a blur. To these gray and soulless rationalists I present to you the exact same image after a manual Levels adjustment--the green channel, because of ectoplasm. And uh, Ireland? Then I did the Find Edges filter because that's what everybody else does with ghost photos and I honestly can't think of any other valid use for Find Edges. Maybe use it for a bump map or a specular map or some shit. I ain't no Digital Media major, I--wait, that is what I am. Those doubting the veracity of these images should take note that I saved basically the same image as a jpeg three times in a row, despite having taken several classes in Adobe products that say pretty clearly not to do that. It follows that I am as incapable of forgery as I am of finding anyone who will ever hire me. Fuck!
