LOS ANGELES - O.J. Simpson on Friday questioned the system that allowed both him and actor Robert Blake to be found liable for murder after being acquitted in criminal court, calling it "double jeopardy."
I hate to say it, but I agree with this dope's assessment of the situation. I wonder how many poor, non-celebrity murder defendants have to prove they're innocent twice?
All the same...

Yep, that's the most disturbing thing. If only those lawyers would get into a new line of work besides orating. Maybe chopping off people's heads?
Either way, I bet he's right about that prediction!! Any lotto numbers for us, OJ?

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - A Dutch television show claimed to have knocked down a chain of more than 4.1 million dominoes Friday in a new world record, but organizers conceded the event was overshadowed by the earlier shooting of an errant sparrow.
They CLAIM to have knocked down that many dominoes, but no one is disputing how many birds they shot. Well, fuck that sparrow for being errant. If he can't stick to the domino-knocking-over program, he deserves what he got.
It later emerged that the house sparrow, though common, is classified as an endangered species in the Netherlands.
NOW it is.

The show's creator, Robin Paul Weijers, referring to the dead bird, said the record generated "mixed emotion."

I guess hope he's talking about beating their own record in domino-knocking-over. :( |
