It's great if you an turn the volume up and you like techno music and getting excited. Pretty graphics too. But I could see how a jaded asshole wouldn't really care for it. The main problem is that there isn't very much to DO. Shoot the enemies, try not to get shot. You basically play for 100% scores, and so the challenge turns into "don't make a mistake". Sometimes a mistake is your fault, sometimes it's the game being cheap, sometimes it's neither. It's very Zen, but neither perfectly honed as Robotron (you're dead. It's your fault. You should have shot quicker, DUMBASS) nor so cheap that it elicits amusing anecdotes on messageboards.
I'd suggest getting a Dreamcast and finding a copy online FO' FREE but that's piracy and... well... uh... considering the developers probably won't see any money even if you buy it (used), fuck it - get a Dreamcast, hook yourself up with the disc image. If you like it, the PS2 version has a few more options here and there and the controller rumbles in your hand. If you don't like it, then perhaps you are a faggot.
SUMMATION: Really good game, but more of a $19.99 budget really good game than a $35 really good game.
