+++ PRACTICE MODE! Play any song section at super slow speeds until you get the hang of it.

+++ Hammer ons and pull offs are much more forgiving so now actual humans can pull them off. Feels more like you're wildly sliding down a guitar fret instead of aiming for robot precision.


+ Lots of new neat little touches (encores, etc)

- Difficulty curve is whack. Remember how the tiers in GH1 grew progressively more difficult? GONE! Songs seem thrown into tiers at random. The worst offender is "Woman", a first tier song that should be in the last. You'll need that practice mode.

- Difficulty disparity. Medium feels like GH1's easy mode, while hard feels like expert. Veterans will quickly get bored with medium then go straight to getting their ass kicked in the first tier on hard.

- Fret board sometimes flashes red and shakes when you make a mistake, throwing you off track even more. It was bad enough before trying to get back in the groove after screwing up, this just exacerbates it. Why was this deemed a good idea?

- No new secret characters. Grim Reaper is back (I prefer the old design though), but the rest of the "secret" characters are just regulars from the first game. Who gives a fuck about Xavier Stone? No secret character is cooler than Lars Umault so why bother?
