It was driving me crazy to see the basement forums fall off after seven days. I changed it to a month. If it turns out that a month is too long I'll move it back down a little, but I was thinking that this place created the impression that it was far deader than it truly was to people who drop by.
Also, if anyone has a particularly strong feeling about making purple the default view for the forum, let me know. I'd like the blue one to be a (stored) option because I recognize that some of us work, but purple to show up to those driving by.
