Mawaru Made in Wario is the sequel to Wario Ware. Yes, there was sufficient acid to go around for the developers to come up with all new insane minigames and activities. The gimmick this time is that one needs to physically twist the gameboy advance left and right to complete the missions. Sometimes the A button needs to be pressed as well. From what I've played so far, the minigames have better animation in terms of fluidity and depth. There's also a greater use of various drawing mediums (like chickenscratch and watercolors). Since it's only a Japanese release right now, all I can pick up of the story is from the intro sequences for each character. I doubt anyone really cares though. All in all, crazy fun to put your brain into a nicely buzzed stupor.
Oh yeah, they take the nose-picking fetish from the first game to all new heights in this one, but I won't ruin it. :( |
