Even if you liked the first two (I liked the first one but not the second), you will probably not like the third one.
The special effects are mostly great (the fishpeople are sweet as always) but none of the action makes any sense. A lot of the movie (an hour maybe) is spent with people arguing about whether the pirate nation is going to go to war with the East India Trading Company, and whether they're going to invoke supernatural forces to help them, and bla bla bla, and then SPOILER it turns out that they were arguing about nothing because the decisions they made had no effect on anything at all. END SPOILER
I think they thought that the end was going to be really dramatic but it just seemed arbitrary. |
