Hermione became less attractive as she matured and as a result made a lot of people feel like paedophiles for talking her up as a 13 year old. I remember when the first movie came out, all kinds of 40 year olds in the IMDB forums would refer to her as 'very pretty', and then quickly qualify that by saying that she'll makes someone very happy when she gets older (phew!), and then spookily that they'll be following her closely. Well, they fucked up and missed their chance because she peaked at 14 and it was all downhill from there. The Olsen twins burnt these same by-the-books masturbators in the same way, and perhaps scared a lot of people into wondering if they secretly preferred kids. Fear not.
I remember lying in bed with my laptop and a two CD divx DVD rip of the first (or second?) movie and wanking to a 15 second loop of Hermione walking down a corridor at Hogwarts. It turned out to be very unsatisfying (and if I had wireless at the time, I'm sure I would have switched to porn (borrowed laptop - no porn archive available)) but this notwithstanding, how lucky I was, because she grew up to be completely ordinary and all those repressed 40 year olds who 'saved it' for when she was legal missed out. Not that they missed out on much - looks were absolutely deceiving in this case - but I'm sure we all agree there was some real energy there that is now gone and I'm satisfied I did the most I could with it. You can't revisit the old movie and look at her all horned up knowing she's now a very basic person. It spoils things.
