I saw it a while back, had very low expectations, and came out of the experience thinking it was unremarkable in almost every sense. I think it's great that you've managed to pretend it's even participating in the same genre as The Royal Tannenbaums, because it isn't. Balls of Fury: comedy what Resident Evil 3: horror. If Christopher Walken in chinadrag can't save your movie, it's got problems. If you want some of that, get that music video director's boxed set and loop the Weapon of Choice video. It's better than most of his movies.
Like you say, the best parts are at the beginning. I can't believe you're trying to make more of this than what it is: churned out crap that hopefully doesn't ruin that fat guy's career, because I like him better than Jack Black.
So my negative review should be all of the tilt you need to push this to the top of the caltrops charts. |
