I guess the male equivalent Partylite parties is poker nights, but like most aspects of being a man, poker nights are actually pretty fun, since you're playing poker.

I've seen some wild stuff at these nights, though, mostly because poker will bring together many different walks of life and friends of friends of friends. There was the 40-year-old father who told me that there was no way to safely mod an Xbox, and after I said that I've seen it with my own eyes, he just got angrier about it. Then there is Jeff, a high school classmate I hadn't seen in 10+ years. Apparently Jeff really loved his suburban childhood home because he got married and then re-created it: China hutch, porcelain things, photos of THEMSELVES on the wall. There was so much homey stability in that place, you might've thought Jeff was a shell shocked Vietnam vet. I kept expecting his parents to come back from the movies any moment.

I forget what the point of my post was going to be. Women are crazy? I probably had some point about normal people from Squaresville being the real problem. INC was just at a "party" where someone told a tale of exchanging Bruce Springsteen tickets because they were for the floor, and he's too old to stand for a whole concert.
