My grades are mostly shit and another thing I keep secret, but I have B.Scis in Economics and Electronics (and even half a law degree) and left high school off my CV because it should be (and always has been) irrelevant in light of this and because I'm 26. My Dad agrees. So I was totally blindsided by the questions about my high school record. After I lied to him about graduating high school, he tortured me by asking how I did in a few 7th form few subjects, and I couldn't go back and I was fucked. Then they started asking me about my social life and I felt like throwing up or crying because what the FUCK is going on, but it was just their way of finding out about my 'networking', which was just their way of finding out if I had access to people with money and if I could get them to invest, but they had to spell this out for me because I was too fucked to think properly. It reminded me of getting fucked by dirty Asian customs officers. I just totally shut down. Ultimately, I think they expected me to drum up investments from my relatives, but why should I until I get my own portfolio? Up until then, I was just a market operator and would probably remain so for 6 months and all that money would be managed by some other motherfucker. It felt like they were trying to extort me. After the interview, my girlfriend was supposed to pick me up to either console me or celebrate re: the web programming thing which turned out to be a huge non-issue. I wasn't sure immediately after the meeting what had happened exactly and it was only in talking about it with my Dad later that I realized I was fucked. This may really blow your mind but my girlfriend picks me up 30 minutes late, and I was furious about this because I was standing around in my beautiful suit trying to look important (txting her under the table because important people don't txt) and I was going to bitch her out for this shameful delay anyway, and when she arrives I see some asshole had written "Fuck u. I fuked ur sister" in permanent marker on the hood of her car. She didn't even notice it and had been driving around like a fucking idiot. I felt like the world was going to end. I told her to fuck off after she had dropped me home and drove to the airport to cry. |
