The problem isn't the class distribution PER SE. A sniper-spy-engy force could do some winnin, with good teamwork and a gameplan tailored to their team's exotic makeup.
Problem is the team is full of people who see five others in a class and think "That is the class for me. I can offer something the other five cannot." 5/6 of these people are delusional. If history teaches us anything, it's that men are at their best when led by one delusional guy and surrounded by normal, pragmatic peers.
My own class selection algorithm is to take the least populated of {soldy,demo,pyro,medic}. My motives are selfish: I don't want a class that the enemy has specialized itself to defeat.
