Forum Overview :: Site Comments

I have found that Wordpress is quite easy to use, and it would add a few features here if it were implemented in the main site (the forum would be untouched by all this). Let me know if there are any pitfalls I should be aware of, but:

- It would make it very, very easy to take a good forum post and turn it into a featured article.
- It would automatically handle RSS.
- It would automatically give me a "articles" and "reviews" pages when content was added, using the tag system.
- I could get an extension that would show the latest threads on the main page.

I would turn off comments for any article promoted to the front (although trackbacks would be fine, I guess).

The trick would be to keep the same look and feel that the main page currently has. I think that would be possible: seeing that there are thousands of pre-existing themes, it can't be that difficult to make a new one, which would essentially be bolted together from what Fussbett has already done.

I'm horrible with timelines and deadlines, so there are currently neither, but let me know if I should be aware of anything beforehand.
