PYTHON! PYTHON! PYTHON!
If it's worth automating, you can automate it elegantly in Python. Also, you can enjoy doing it. Python is easy to learn, but is well enough design that its simplicity doesn't encourage you to make terrible design decisions. The docs on the site are approachable, and include meaningful examples. I'm pretty sure I do a job very much like yours, and I wouldn't want to do it any other way. |
