I went to the animal shelter today and met a coonhound named Kiro, she didn't seem very interested in me but you could tell she appreciated being let out of her cage. She's ninety pounds and sheds constantly. I worry my one-room apartment might not be the most suitable environment for her, but was told it's hard to find any home for such a big and unlikeable dog, so maybe I shouldn't worry about it? Also it's going to run me $200 in various fees to get her out of there, and even with year-round treatments she's still going to have some fleas (because apparently I live in the "flea capital of Canada"). I dunno, it's a tough decision. |
