I've been quite content with my r4 since I bought it in September last year and I've been looking for a 3-in-1 to go with it. After looking up a few reviews I settled on the EZ Flash V 3-in-1. I've been reading the wiki, I have rudolph's 3-in-1 loader and I DLDI patched it for the R4 and I still get zero functionality out of the 3-in-1, rudolph's tool can't even detect it. None of my GBA games are playing, the browser doesn't work and rumble isn't being detected. Every time I try to run a GBA game (I converted them using NDStation) I get a black screen with "Error in FAT init!"

Am I missing a file that I need to put in the root of my R4? do I need to downgrade my kernel (I'm using 1.18)?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The 3in1 ExpPack Tool doesn't support the new 3-in-1 chipset, and NDStation has been broken for a long time. You need GBA ExpLoader. Get it here: http://kotei.blog.so-net.ne.jp/

BTW, the R4 has had DLDI auto-patching for a long time. You don't need to bother patching DLDI homebrew.
