It was sold as a set. Thanks to recent developments in encoders, I'm going to map the top-most blue button to "mouse_wheel_scrollup" and the bottom one to scrolldown. This should let me do whatever it is I wanted to do in Left 4 Dead that I couldn't. I'm not complaining. They could have sacrificed all the flannel posters for proper peripheral support, but I'd rather suffer myself than all of us be without the posters. One of my favorite moments in L4D voice chat? Fortinbras: Does your trackball have... right click? I don't want to belabor the point or anything, but your superior gaming experience comes at a price, Fussbett: your body is already breaking down due to the constant precision movements your mouse allows you to make. You're like Batman in The Dark Knight Returns. I'm obviously the inferior murderer of zombies at the moment, but my right hand is strong, lithe, sinewy and powerful - Superman himself would have to chop it off to stop me, to continue a metaphor. (Also, it is my understanding that people are hoarding the really good mice, which were discontinued.) ICJ |
