...has two identical ports on the bottom. One is MEDIA, one is DATA.
If you don't plug the USB cable into the right port, you can scream and scream for days on end like me! Plug it into DATA. That's the one on the far right as you look at the bottom of the player.
My review otherwise: this is a pretty nice piece of hardware, so far, for an infuriating coal-black lump of a USB hard drive. I guess people either love it or hate it. It's not as small or sexy as an iPod. It does have a color screen though, so it's like a picture iPod, except not as sexy. And that's me: not as sexy as an iPod, but much more infuriating. I'll review further after taking it through a week's stress testing in the slave pits. |
