Which developer did that? by Fussbett 01/26/2009, 5:46pm PST It's an ignorant thing to say, regardless of what you mean by it, and you should stop saying it in mixed company. It's a dumb prediction and it didn't come true. Generally speaking, the online component of the current generation of consoles is fucking awesome. Specifically speaking about patches, games usually get very minor fixes in a patch (if at all) and the process is completely quick and painless. Specifically speaking about Burnout Paradise specifically, the developers keep updating a game that is a year old and in the bargain bin. They should be lauded as heroes, not questioned as to why they didn't include motorcycles or DeLoreans in the first place. The "restart race" feature they introduce in this patch isn't a bug, it's a choice they firmly stood behind for a year. Mistakenly, sure, but it's not like they spent a year debugging the menu code to finally add it. A better curmudgeon stance would be to pick on pay-DLC on even in-game advertising. But those are pretty much both fag gambits too.
