In what situation would I want to get ripper swarms? What is to stop the enemy from simple ignoring them and shooting something else? If their purpose is solely to provide a target and disrupt ranged units they get into melee with, why would I just cough up the extra 70 requisition and go with a hormagaunt squad that actually does damage to boot?
How exactly does synapse work? I gathered that warriors and your commander with the green glowing thingy provide it and squads receive the listed individual synapse bonus if they're in range, yet I see upgrades that mention "provides ranged/melee synapse". Do they not provide it unless I buy the upgrade? Are their separate ranged & melee synapse fields and I need units with both upgrades to provide both? |
